Ala Moana Center Expansion Update (1-24)
Bus Stop Relocations

Effective February 2, 2006 Bus Stops to be Relocated Temporarily

HONOLULU, HI – TheBus stops on Kona Street fronting Ala Moana Center will be temporarily relocated as of February 2, 2006 due to construction work at the street level entrance.  The City, Central and Windward bus stops will remain in the same general vicinity, and are merely relocating further Ewa on Kona Street.  The Ala Moana Center bus stop routes #5 & #6 will be temporarily relocated to Kapiolani Boulevard and Keeaumoku Street fronting the Pacific Guardian Tower.  The following stops will be affected during the construction period:
     • Bus Stop #1: (City/Waikiki Bus Stops) Routes 6UH, 8, 17, 18, 19, 20, and 58.
     • Bus Stop #2: (Central/Leeward Bus Stops) Routes C, 50, 40A, 43, 52, 53 and 62.
     • Bus Stop #3 (Windward Bus Stops) Routes 55, 56, 57, 57A, 65, 88A
     • The Ala Moana Center bus stop routes #5 (Ala Moana-Manoa) and #6 (Pauoa Valley – Westbound) will be temporarily relocated to Kapiolani Boulevard and Keeaumoku Street fronting the Pacific Guardian Tower.

Ala Moana Center’s two-year expansion project will include Hawaii’s first full-line Nordstrom store (200,000 sq ft), plus an 800-stall parking garage, an additional 25,000 square feet of street-level retail space facing Kapiolani Boulevard, and 45,000 square feet of new retail space on the third level expansion connecting Nordstrom to the existing third level of the shopping center.
