Ala Moana Center Welcomes New Stores and Restaurants

HONOLULU – Shoppers will be excited to find an array of new stores and restaurants now open at Ala Moana Center. Many of the new retailers and dining venues are firsts in Hawaii and can only be found at Ala Moana Center.

“Each new addition brings a greater shopping experience for our kama‘aina and visitors,” said Sharon James, regional vice president of marketing, Ala Moana Center. “We are thrilled to be welcoming stores and restaurants that will be unique to the Islands and to Ala Moana Center as a shopping destination.”

New stores now open at Ala Moana Center:

Islands Fine Burgers & Drinks – Serving families with specialty hamburgers, tacos and salads in a lively tropical atmosphere, Islands Fine Burgers & Drinks is the restaurant’s first location in Hawaii. Their exceptional “Happy Hour” from 4 p.m. - 7 p.m. Monday through Friday features $1 off a variety of drinks and half-price on all appetizers, French fries and onion rings along with free servings of chips and salsa. Their “Gremmie Menu” offers a tasty selection of times for those 12 and under. Located in Ho‘okipa Terrace, Fourth Level, adjacent to Mai Tai Bar.

Rokkaku – A traditional Japanese restaurant, specializing in grilled meats, seafood and kamameshi, a traditional rice dish served in a ceramic pot. Menus vary by meal period, offering lunch (11:45 a.m. – 2 p.m.), afternoon tea (2 p.m. – 6 p.m.) and dinner (6 p.m. – 11 p.m.). They also offer an extensive premium sake menu. Located Mall Level, mauka side, next to Panya Bistro.

Rip Curl – The market leader in surfing wetsuits for almost 30 years, the store features wetsuits, surf wear, snowboard and mountain wear, along with board bags, board covers, backpacks and wallets. Shoppers with a taste for the outdoors can visit the new location on the Third Level, next to Pacific Harley-Davidson.

Mani Pedi Spa – Mani Pedi Spa offers nail airbrushing services, acrylic nails, and products from the top manicure cosmetics companies, including OPI and Essie. Beyond their manicure and pedicure services, they also offer eyelash extensions and waxing services. Located Mall Level, mauka side, near Shirokiya.

Coming soon to Ala Moana Center in the month of April:

Ruehl No. 925 (Opening April 6th) – Reminiscent of a Greenwich Village-style apartment, the much anticipated Ruehl No. 925 store at Ala Moana Center will create a relaxed, urban shopping experience where women and men can browse for casual sportswear, jeans, accessories, intimate apparel and outerwear. A new concept in shopping from Abercrombie & Fitch, Ruehl No. 925 opens its first Hawaii location on April 6th on the Third Level, next to Emporio Armani.

Lacoste (Scheduled to Open Mid-April) – A phenomenon that spun out of the classic pique polo shirt, Lacoste is known for its colorful design, clean silhouettes, and superior quality. Emblazoned with an instantly recognizable crocodile, Lacoste is a brand that embodies casual elegance. Lacoste is scheduled to open mid-April on the Third Level, Center Court area.

Shoppers are encouraged to enter Ala Moana Center via Ala Moana Boulevard, Piikoi Street, or Atkinson Drive. The center’s current expansion project still allows access via the Ke’eaumoku Street ramp into the shopping center Mall Level from Ke’eaumoku and Kapiolani Boulevard allowing shoppers to turn right into the parking structure. The Ke’eaumoku entrance will not allow vehicular traffic to turn left in the Diamond Head direction. Ala Moana Center has nearly 9,000 parking stalls on four levels.
