Ala Moana Center's  50th Anniversary Photo Contest

Ala Moana Center is celebrating its 50^th anniversary!  Spanning five decades from the first days of statehood to modern day Hawai'i, this milestone marks how Ala Moana Center has served the community as its favorite gathering place to shop, dine and be entertained. 

As part of the celebration, we are hosting a special photo contest.  Send us your favorite photos at Ala Moana Center, including your fondest childhood moment, shopping for a special occasion, hanging out with friends, or simply an artistic shot of the center.  Photos can be taken any year since Ala Moana Center opened on August 13, 1959. To enter, send up to (4) four photos (including a brief caption and the year the photo was taken), along with your contact information (see contest rules for requirements) by July 31, 2009.  

Selected photos will be featured in a special 50^th Anniversary Photo Retrospective at Centerstage from August 13-31, 2009.  One lucky winner will receive a $250 Ala Moana Center gift card!

Contest rules:

1. All entries must be received by July 31, 2009
2. Send color or black and white prints, or digital images only.  No slides will be accepted.  Digital images must be at least 300 dpi; TIFF, EPS or JPG format; RGB and 8bit. 
3. Only photos taken at Ala Moana Center are eligible.  All photos should include a brief caption and the year the photo was taken. 
4. Each photograph must be accompanied by the following information:  Name, street address, city, state, zip code, phone number and email.
5. Ala Moana Center and Stryker Weiner & Yokota Public Relations, Inc. are not responsible for lost or damaged photos.
6. Please do not send original slides or prints.  Photos and CDs will not be returned.   
7. Do not contact Ala Moana Center or Stryker Weiner & Yokota Public Relations, Inc. regarding the photo contest.  We will notify winners after the final judging by Ala Moana Center management.
8. Ala Moana Center and Stryker Weiner & Yokota Public Relations, Inc. reserves the right to publish photo contest entries for editorial purposes, media purposes, online purposes, and marketing and promotion of Ala Moana Center.
