“THE CHRISTMAS GIFT OF ALOHA” STAGE SHOW AND PARADE RETURNS TO ALA MOANA CENTER FOR FINAL YEAR
This holiday season in Hawai‘i, visitors can experience “snow” and a winter wonderland in O‘ahu’s balmy 75-degree climate as Ala Moana Center presents its annual holiday stage show, “The Christmas Gift of Aloha,” for a final year. The musical act brings award-winning author Lisa Matsumoto’s children’s story to life by following the adventures of Merry, a newly trained Christmas Elf, who falls from Santa’s sleigh to find himself in Hawai‘i. After each performance, families can watch Santa ride his illuminated sleigh during a joyful holiday parade through Ala Moana Center, joined by characters from the show.
Also, throughout the day, children can ride the 30-foot long Candy Cane Train, inspired by “The Christmas Gift of Aloha” storybook, on a sing-along journey throughout the mall. On their way to visit Santa, kids can experience the Menehune Toy Shop, which includes animatronic elves, Hawaiian toys and a real waterfall.
