JACKIE’S KITCHEN JUMP-KICKS INTO ALA MOANA CENTER

Jackie Chan’s restaurant will satisfy appetites with “kick-in-the-mouth” good food

HONOLULU—World-renown martial artist/actor/stunt-man Jackie Chan is unleashing culinary-fury on Hawaii. “Jackie’s Kitchen” will open in November on level three of Ala Moana Center next to Bubba Gump’s, California Pizza Kitchen and Mai Tai Bar and Grill. This is the first Jackie’s Kitchen to open in the United States.

“Jackie’s Kitchen is a wonderful addition to our selection of restaurants at Ala Moana,” said Sharon James, regional vice president of marketing for General Growth – Hawaii. “Quality, variety and convenience are some of the components we try to build into our visitor shopping experience, and Jackie’s Kitchen offers all of those.”

Serving an infusion of Asian-American and Hawaiian cuisine, Jackie’s Kitchen is a full-service, casual-dining restaurant stretched over 5,000 square feet. The restaurant features a semi-open kitchen, full bar capable of seating 42 people, and a gift shop offering Jackie Chan merchandise and restaurant souvenirs. The dining area and bar serves a total of 152 guests – the interior design incorporates oriental art and Jackie Chan memorabilia. The restaurant’s unique menu features dishes such as the Twin Dragon Burger, Shanghai Noon Noodles, Kalua Pork Won Tons and Rush Hour Ribs.

“Our goal is to make Jackie’s Kitchen a destination within a destination,” said Robert Cortez, general manager of Jackie’s Kitchen. “With delicious food and top-notch service, we’re hoping to consistently exceed the expectations of our guests during each and every visit.”

Curtis added, “Jackie Chan decided to open the first restaurant here in Hawaii because of his affection for the Islands and its people. He feels at home in Hawaii and wants to do what he can to promote the local visitor industry.”
