SAINT-GERMAIN OPENS BAKERY IN ALA MOANA

Shirokiya sub-tenant opens own shop

HONOLULU—Saint-Germain Bakery –– well known for its tasty treats –– opened its own store on June 10.  A long-time subtenant on the mall level of Shirokiya –– where it will remain open for business –– Saint-Germain Bakery now has its own space located on the ground level of Ala Moana Center, mauka side, near Foodland and Sears, where it will continue to offer the savory pastries and friendly service that have made it a Hawaii favorite.

Gone are the days of pulling a number and waiting in line to be served.  Saint-Germain’s new location features a leisurely self-service atmosphere for customers’ added convenience.  Now customers can pick their assortment of baked goodies –– including favorites such as specialty French breads and Danish pastries –– straight off the shelf and proceed to checkout.  Saint-Germain is open Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.

“Saint-Germain continues to be a popular one-stop coffee, pastry and sandwich shop for Ala Moana customers,” said Sharon James, regional vice president of marketing for General Growth–Hawaii.  “They did exceptionally well as a sub-tenant in Shirokiya.  We’re excited for them as they expand their business and move into a location of their own.”
