The Aloha Sign has been beautifully refreshed by Hawai’i artist Punky Aloha in collaboration with POW! WOW! Hawaiʻi Punky Aloha (Shar Tui’asoa) has put her signature touch on it, featuring islander women in sunglasses, surrounded by vibrant colors, florals, and whimsical patterns inspired by Hawai’i and the Pacific Islands. The Punky Aloha Scholarship for Kanaka Maoli and Pasifika creatives was established by Punky Aloha Studio as a way to encourage and financially support Pacific Islander creatives pursue a pathway to a sustainable career in the arts and other creative spaces.
