In order to support local stores and restaurants, Ala Moana Center brought back the Shop Local & Be Rewarded Program. Shoppers can earn a $25 Ala Moana Center Gift Card when they spend $300 or more on weekdays from March 21–April 8 at any of the 100+ participating stores and restaurants throughout the Center.
Ala Moana Center is partnering with Nomi Health to conduct COVID-19 testing in the Mauka Ewa Parking Structure now through May 31 from Monday–Saturday, 8am–5pm. Testing is available for all. Click here to learn more and book your appointment.
From March 25–27, you can enjoy a delicious meal and support Special Olympics Hawaii athletes at their annual Tip-A-Cop fundraiser! Volunteer off-duty law enforcement officers will greet customers and assists servers to raise awareness and show their support for this organization. All proceeds raised by these dedicated officers will remain in the islands and help Special Olympics Hawaii get all their athletes safely back to in-person sports training, competitions and programs. Participating restaurants include Buffalo Wild Wings, California Pizza Kitchen, Goma Tei Ramen and Lucky Strike Social.
It's Girl Scout Cookie Time! Shoppers can support their local Girl Scout troops by purchasing cookies at the pop-up shop located on Street Level 1, Ewa Wing next to Hilo Hattie from February 24–March 27, every Monday, Thursday and Friday from 4–7pm.
Ala Moana Center partnered with The Salvation Army to help island families in need with its annual Angel Tree program this past holiday season. To sponsor a family, patrons picked a tag off the Angel Tree located on Street Level 1, Center Court fronting Centerstage, then shopped throughout the Center for the gift(s) indicated. After the gifts were received, The Salvation Army distributed them to families in time for Christmas.
Ala Moana Center hosted the Hawai'i Pacific Health Vax Squad on September 11 and October 2 at the Kona Street Depot. The HPH Vax Squad offered free COVID-19 vaccines to anyone 12 years and older.
In partnership with Salvation Army of Hawaii, Ala Moana Center hosted a School Supply Drive on Saturday, July 17 from 12–8pm on Mall Level 2–Level 3, Mauka Wing. Donations give keiki the tools they need to succeed in the classroom.
As a special incentive, the first 200 donors who provided $20 or more in school supplies received coupons from Buffalo Wild Wings.
In an effort to support local stores and restaurants, Ala Moana Center promoted a Shop Local & Be Rewarded program, which offered shoppers a $25 Ala Moana Center Gift Card when they spent $100 or more on a single purchase on a weekday from May 17–31, 2021 at any of the nearly 100 participating merchants throughout the Center.
Ala Moana Center partnered with Girl Scouts of Hawaii on their annual cookie sales with a contactless Cookie Booth in the former ABC Stores on Street Level 1, Diamond Head Wing from February 19–April 16, 2021.
Ala Moana Center was listed in the newly unveiled Cookie Finder. Guests were able to stop by to purchase cookies from a rotating list of troops. Our location also served as a pick up or delivery point for cookie orders placed through Grubhub. As a national partner, purchases made through the platform featured free pickup or delivery with no minimum order so all proceeds went directly to Girl Scouts of Hawaii.

Every two seconds, someone needs blood. Donations are critical and needed to maintain an adequate supply to fulfill Hawaii's needs. To help restore the island's low blood supply, Ala Moana Center partnered with the Blood Bank of Hawaii to host a Blood Drive, held on Sunday, September 27, 2020. We're grateful for all those in the community who gave of their time and blood to help save lives.
In partnership with Headshot Booker, we helped those unemployed due to COVID-19 by providing FREE professional headshots to include with their resumes and job sites like LinkedIn.
Ala Moana Center partnered with #ShowAlohaChallenge. Founded by Michael Gangloff, President of MIRA Image Construction and Lanai Tabura, a local celebrity and entertainer. #ShowAlohaChallenge is a collaborative program that coordinates efforts with the City and County of Honolulu, local restaurants, businesses and nonprofit organizations to help feed the people of Hawaii.
Five participating restaurants from Ala Moana Center and five restaurants from surrounding community partners supplied 3,600 meals to homebound elderly citizens (kupuna) in need of nutritional meals.

Our Better Together Hawaii Gift Card Program thanked customers who supported participating businesses and restaurants with $50,000 in Ala Moana Center gift cards for their qualifying purchases.
Ala Moana Center is proud to partner with Oahu Fresh, a network which connects local farms with our community. Each week, you can receive a bag full of assorted seasonal produce for as little as $20 or select your own items for $25. On Saturday, May 2, Ala Moana Center partnered with Kalihi Kai Urgent Care to provide a drive-thru COVID-19 testing site for the community.
On Saturday, April 11 Ala Moana Center partnered with The Salvation Army of Hawaii for a one-day food giveaway to people in need. 90 volunteers distributed the donated food to 643 cars, including 2,200 gallons of fresh milk, 4,300 dozen eggs, 3,000 loaves of bread, 5,000 pounds of Maui harvest potatoes.
